And lo and behold, there was the fucking keyboard parameter tied to 元. When I noticed that Steam was detecting a 360 controller on top of my DS4 (when I went into the controller settings after having launched 7th Heaven), I finally saw the controller settings that the game uses, which are the 360 ones. However, what I didn't know before now is that apparently, 7th Heaven duplicates the Dualshock 4 into a 360 controller (I believe this has to do with Xinput vs Dinput). But since the update hit last summer, it can, which is how we are finally able to use Steam's wrapper.
In previous versions of 7th Heaven (before this past summer), it wasn't possible to use Steam's controller wrapper. Modded FF7 uses the game's 1998 executable instead of the 2015 Steam one. 7th Heaven has a built-in tool that lets it use Steam's controller wrapper. I am playing modded FF7 through the mod manager called 7th Heaven. So the game that I am playing is Final Fantasy 7, but modded. The reason that this wasn't the case before (as per the previous image) is because I hadn't booted the mod manager yet.
